By Kaufman and Stigger on

The Davie County Sheriff’s Office has announced that they have a suspect in custody for the hit and run accident that occurred on April 16, 2020. The accident happened in the 4900 block of Highway 56 around 8:50 pm. The Sheriff’s Office put out a request for help and asked the public to look for a car that had recent damage to a passenger-side headlight lens.

Though the report doesn’t say what led to the capture of the motorist, they did say that she was being cooperative in the investigation. Davies County Sheriff’s Office detectives will meet with prosecutors to determine what will happen next and what charges might be filed.
