Man Killed in Grayson County After Stopping to Help Stalled Driver

A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash in western Grayson County late Monday night. WDRB-TV reports the accident happened along the Western Kentucky Parkway near Caneyville on September 5, 2022.

The Kentucky State Police determined that a 49-year-old man from Caneyville had stopped his pickup truck in the slow lane to help protect the driver of a dump truck with mechanical issues. The driver of another approaching pickup truck switched lanes abruptly and rammed the back of the 49-year-old victim’s truck.

The impact sent the victim’s truck into the back of the dump truck. He was killed. The other two drivers involved escaped injury. Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
