Motorcycle Safety Stats In Kentucky

Recent statistics show there are at least 106,500 registered motorcycles in the Bluegrass State. Unfortunately, since motorcyclists have less protection than passenger vehicles, they have a much greater risk of dying in the event of a car crash. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) found that almost 5,000 American motorcyclists die in crashes every year.

Cars cause at least 60 percent of motorcyclist accidents in the USA. After an accident, it’s very common for drivers to tell officers they simply couldn’t see the motorcyclist headed their way.
