Freeways are often the scene of horrific crashes involving multiple vehicles. Because of the number of lanes and the volume of traffic on an interstate, the likelihood of more than two vehicles colliding is high. When this happens, there is an increased chance of serious injuries and even fatalities.

This isn’t just because there are more vehicles involved, but because there is an increased chance of multiple victims which can cause delays in getting help to each victim.

One Dead in Multiple-Vehicle Crash on I-265

Four passenger cars and two tractor-trailers were involved in a chain-reaction crash on I-265 near its junction with I-70. The Louisville Metro Police Department said that the accident happened around 2:30 pm on Friday, June 12, 2020, when one of the passenger vehicles struck another vehicle at a high rate of speed.

This set off a chain reaction that involved two semi-trucks and two other passenger cars. One driver died at the scene and another was taken to a local hospital suffering from serious injuries.
