Motorcyclist Deaths

Most people who hit bikers tell us that they “never saw the motorcycle coming”. There are 106,000 registered motorcycles in the Bluegrass State. All Kentuckian motorists should be extra vigilant during the warmer seasons as motorcyclists become more common on the roadways. It’s especially important for car drivers to take a few extra moments to look around before making any sharp turns.

Over the years, motorcyclist deaths in traffic collisions have increased in the USA. Today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that over 1,850 American motorcyclists die in traffic accidents annually. The CDC also discovered that about 800 of these motorcyclist fatalities could have been prevented had every biker worn a helmet.
