A tractor trailer struck two vehicles killing one and seriously injuring another. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2019, when the driver of the tractor trailer failed to notice that traffic had slowed considerably. He first struck a Jeep Liberty killing its driver, and then struck an SUV seriously injuring a passenger.
Police say that the driver was distracted by a phone that he had mounted on his dash which was playing a video and likely kept him from noticing the traffic slowdown.

On October 26th, 2018, a small Toyota pickup smashed into a tractor-trailer killing the driver of the pickup. The wreck occurred just before 6 am on Cherry Blossom Way in front of the Georgetown Toyota manufacturing plant.

On August 23, 2018, a crash involving a semi gas tanker and a Mazda Miata killed one driver. Police say this crash happened in Louisville on I-264.
According to WDRB.com, this fatal accident occurred at 10:30AM on the Watterson Expressway near Bardstown Road. Allegedly, the tanker was attempting to merge into the right lane from the center when it struck the back of the Mazda. Both vehicles were heading east.
The force of the crash pushed the Mazda into another vehicle in the eastbound lane.

A two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck injured numerous people in Louisville on July 7, 2018.
According to Wave3 News, this crash happened before 3:30PM on Interstate 64 eastbound close Clark Station Road’s 22-mile marker. First-responders say many people were injured in this crash, but nobody was killed. All left lanes on I-64 near this crash were closed for about two hours.
Police are still investigating the cause of this accident. Anyone with information should give the Louisville Police Department a call.
