A tractor trailer struck two vehicles killing one and seriously injuring another. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2019, when the driver of the tractor trailer failed to notice that traffic had slowed considerably. He first struck a Jeep Liberty killing its driver, and then struck an SUV seriously injuring a passenger.
Police say that the driver was distracted by a phone that he had mounted on his dash which was playing a video and likely kept him from noticing the traffic slowdown.

On October 26th, 2018, a small Toyota pickup smashed into a tractor-trailer killing the driver of the pickup. The wreck occurred just before 6 am on Cherry Blossom Way in front of the Georgetown Toyota manufacturing plant.
According to witnesses, the driver of the tractor-trailer took a left turn on a flashing yellow light in front of the pickup which had entered the intersection under a green light. Georgetown police said that the driver of the pickup died at the scene,

On August 23, 2018, a crash involving a semi gas tanker and a Mazda Miata killed one driver. Police say this crash happened in Louisville on I-264.
According to WDRB.com, this fatal accident occurred at 10:30AM on the Watterson Expressway near Bardstown Road. Allegedly, the tanker was attempting to merge into the right lane from the center when it struck the back of the Mazda. Both vehicles were heading east.
The force of the crash pushed the Mazda into another vehicle in the eastbound lane.

A two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck injured numerous people in Louisville on July 7, 2018.
According to Wave3 News, this crash happened before 3:30PM on Interstate 64 eastbound close Clark Station Road’s 22-mile marker. First-responders say many people were injured in this crash, but nobody was killed. All left lanes on I-64 near this crash were closed for about two hours.
Police are still investigating the cause of this accident. Anyone with information should give the Louisville Police Department a call.

A traffic accident Munfordville involving multiple vehicles sent at least five people to the hospital on June 18, 2018. In total, eyewitnesses claim eight vehicles were involved in this crash.
According to ABC-13 WBKO, this accident took place around noon in the southbound lane of I-65 near the 66-mile marker. There’s currently a great deal of construction happening on the bridge by this marker. To accommodate construction crews, the road in this area changes from three lanes to one.

A Lexington resident died in a tragic hit-and-run accident in Clark County on May 25, 2018. Local police are still searching for the driver responsible for this violent crash.
According to Lex18, this accident happened last Friday at 5:45AM on I-64. Two men were traveling along this road in a truck with a camper before the crash occurred. Apparently, these two men pulled over to the side of the road to check their equipment at the 94-mile marker.

On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, a tractor trailer hauling wooden flooring overturn on I-75 in Scott County just north of Lexington. A car and a pickup truck were involved in the wreck and at least one person suffered serious injuries.
What went wrong?
News reports have been very vague and police are still investigating. However, trucks don’t just tip over by themselves. Tire blowouts, driving too fast around a curve, driver distraction, unbalanced loads and overloaded, top heavy trucks are all possibilities which could lead to a truck turning over on an interstate.
