Bardstown Road In Louisville Getting Lane Changes

A major lane change will hopefully make one of the busiest roads in Louisville much safer for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

In the first week of November 2020, work should begin on a major traffic pattern shift on Bardstown Road in the Highlands. WDRB-TV reported the project will bring major changes between Eastern Parkway and Baxter Avenue.

Louisville’s Bardstown Road Lane Makeover

The biggest change will be in the number of lanes available to motorists. Bardstown Road will be transformed into a one-lane road in both directions.

One of the hardest lessons for new drivers to learn is that driving your own vehicle safely and by the rules may not be enough to keep you out of danger. To avoid some common accidents you have to get into the head of the other drivers around you and drive defensively.

Defensive driving skills come with experience, but after a while, you can learn to predict the bad moves a careless driver, a distracted driver or a reckless driver is going to make and you can often steer clear of their mistakes.
